Cholesterol is a waxy material which is to be found in food. In addition, it\u2019s also made by your body. A few decades ago, large studies have associated high blood cholesterol to heart disease.<\/p>\n<p>In 1961, the American Heart Association suggested reducing dietary cholesterol. Several other international health organisations did the same. Over the next number of decades, worldwide egg consumption decreased significantly. National health representatives seem to agree. The latest Dietary Guidelines do not put a cap on dietary cholesterol.<\/p>\n<p>Even for individuals whose genes place them at greater risk for <a href=\"https:\/\/trifocusfitnessacademy.co.za\/blog\/what-is-the-positive-effect-exercise-could-have-on-your-childs-heart\/\">heart<\/a> as well as cholesterol problems, consuming an egg every day isn\u2019t a big problem. Concentrating on one aspect of a food \u2014like the cholesterol in eggs \u2014 is not a consistent way to assess that food\u2019s health impact.<\/p>\n<p>One\u2019s focus should be on healthy dietary patterns and not particular foods or nutrients. Eggs get a lot of attention as they\u2019re so popular and for a while were almost vilified.
