This forces your lungs into overdrive.<\/p>\n<h2>7.\u00a0Swimming is good for your posture<\/h2>\n<p>If you think about it, it is the only exercise where you are not upright . Swimming allows you to get a good sweat session in while horizontal, improving your posture and preventing back injuries and back pain.<\/p>\n<h2>8.\u00a0Swimming has Many Mental Benefits<\/h2>\n<p>Apart from the endorphin spike you will experience, swimming allows you to get back outside (if you\u2019re swimming in open water) and leave your problems and stresses on dry land.\u00a0It destresses, relaxes and reduces anxiety and depression, as well as improves your sleep!<\/p>\n<h2>9.\u00a0It is a Great Family Activity<\/h2>\n<p>Especially if you have small children who need to get used to water or learn how to swim.
